Frequently Asked Questions

Got a question about our yoghurt? You’re in the right place.

We’ve answered some of the most common questions about our products, ingredients and dietary needs. If you can’t find what you’re after, feel free to get in touch — we’re always happy to help.

Dietary

  • We recommend our Unsweetened Greek Yoghurt which has no added sugar. This is a traditional tasting greek yoghurt - it’s our go-to for cooking, baking, or for anyone looking to keep things simple. It’s also the base for our Ancient Grains Superfood Pod.

  • Our yoghurt isn’t labelled lactose-free, but some people with lactose intolerance find it easier to digest compared to other brands due to the live cultures used during fermentation. As always, we recommend checking with your doctor.

  • Yes — our products are Halal certified and suitable for vegetarians. We don’t use gelatine. For specific certification details, please get in touch.

General

  • You can find us at major supermarkets across Australia, like Harris Farms, Drakes, Coles, Foodlands, as well as your local fruit & veg stores, and more. Use our store locator to find your nearest stockist.

  • Yes. Our yoghurt is proudly made in Australia using South Australian milk from the Adelaide Hills, along with many other local ingredients wherever possible.

  • Email us at admin@theyoghurtshop.com.au with your details, best before date, and a photo if possible. We’ll take it from there and follow up quickly.

  • If kept refrigerated, it’ll stay fresh until the use-by date on the tub. We recommend eating it within 7 days of opening for best quality.

  • Yes. Our 170g, 190g, 500g and 900g tubs can go in your kerbside recycling bin. Each pack features clear ARL (Australasian Recycling Label) instructions to help you dispose of each part correctly.

We review our packaging every year as part of our APCO membership, and we’re always looking for ways to improve recyclability — including reviewing components like small plastic lids. If you're unsure, just check the label on your tub.

Tip: Scrunch foil lids into a ball before placing them in the recycling bin to help them get picked up in the system.

  • Not at the moment. But if you're interested in stocking our yoghurt, our sales team would love to hear from you.
